Sprinter Brakes

Fixed-price brake packages for W906 & W907/W910 • Fitted at your door

The Mercedes Sprinter is the UK's most widely used large van, and its brakes take significant punishment across delivery and trade work. Common fault patterns include worn front pads triggering the ASSYST brake indicator, seized caliper slider pins causing uneven inner-pad wear, and rear disc corrosion on vans that sit for extended periods. We cover W906 and W907/W910 Sprinters across Kent and South East London, fitting genuine Mercedes parts, measuring disc thickness on every job, and issuing a written report confirming all work completed.

Worn brake pad next to brand new pad on Mercedes Sprinter

Sprinters eat brakes. We fix that.

Sprinters are heavy vehicles that work hard - and they chew through brakes faster than most vans on the road. Whether it's a squealing noise, a warning light, or you just know they're due, we bring a complete brake service to your door.

Genuine Mercedes parts, proper fitment, no workshop queue. Fixed-price packages so you know exactly what you're paying before we start.

We measure, not guess

Every brake job starts with a proper measurement. We use digital vernier calipers to check disc thickness against Mercedes minimum specifications - not just a visual glance.

If your discs still have life in them, we'll tell you. If they need replacing, you'll see the numbers. No upselling, no guesswork.

  • Disc thickness measured against Mercedes spec
  • Pad wear assessed on all corners
  • Caliper slider pins checked and lubricated

A note on rear brakes

Sprinter rear brake assemblies can suffer from heavy corrosion, especially on older W906 models. We offer rear brake packages with strict condition qualifiers. If the assembly is heavily corroded, there may be an additional surcharge (£30-60 + VAT) for extra time and tooling. We'll always assess and quote honestly before starting work.

When workshop referral may be needed

  • Heavily corroded rear assemblies that can't be safely freed mobile
  • Brake caliper rebuild or replacement requiring bench work
  • ABS module faults requiring pump or hydraulic work

Common brake symptoms

Not sure if your Sprinter needs brakes? Look out for these signs:

Squealing or grinding noise when braking
Brake wear warning light on the dashboard
Pulsating or vibrating brake pedal
Vehicle pulling to one side under braking
Soft or spongy brake pedal feel
Longer stopping distances than usual

Frequently asked questions

Common signs include squealing or grinding noise when braking, a pulsating brake pedal, the vehicle pulling to one side under braking, a soft or spongy pedal, or a brake wear warning light on the dash. If you're unsure, we can measure pad thickness and disc condition during any visit.

Yes. We use genuine Mercedes parts as standard. You get the right parts, fitted properly, with none of the dealer markup.

Yes, in most cases. We offer rear brake packages with strict condition qualifiers. If the rear brake assembly is heavily corroded (common on older Sprinters), there may be an additional surcharge for extra time and tooling. We'll always assess and quote before starting.

Front pads only: around 45 minutes. Front pads and discs: 60-90 minutes. Rear brakes can take longer depending on condition. We'll confirm timing when you book.

Brake wear sensor replacement is an optional add-on (£15-35 + VAT). We'll check the sensor during the job and recommend replacement if it's worn or damaged. Always better to replace it at the same time as the pads.

We carry diagnostic equipment on every visit. If there's a brake-related fault code or ABS issue, we can diagnose it at the same time - no second visit needed.

A real example from a Sprinter brake job

2019 Mercedes Sprinter W907, 91,000 miles. Brake wear indicator triggered on the dash. Front discs measured below Mercedes minimum specification on the near-side. Both front pads and discs replaced with genuine Mercedes parts, caliper sliders cleaned and lubricated. Rear pads measured and found serviceable. Written findings report issued. Job complete in 55 minutes at the operator's depot.

Every brake job ends with a written report confirming measurements, parts fitted, and work completed. See an example of our documentation standard.
